A Work of Art

The U.S. copyright law defines a work of art through authorship and singularity. For prints this means no more than 200 copies, signed and numbered. In this work I reproduce 201 screen-printed copies of the text of this law from the College Art Association (CCA), a non-profit organization based in New York City, pushing the limits on the definitions of authenticity and artistic validity proposed by copyright law. Three screen prints are framed and the rest are available for the public to take for free.
