A video installation (05’20” loop) composed of three hanging windows and a video projector, which emerges from grieving my grandmother’s death from a distance. This audiovisual installation is based on the only photograph of my grandmother that is printed, framed, and exhibited in each of her eight children’s homes. The installation materializes the multiple layers of meaning that coexist in a single image, to explore the (re)production of memory and the ephemeral quality of remembrance, through slowly fading the image in and out.
