Lakes and Rivers of Undulating Energy
Using the MAGMA hydrophone built by Colombian artist Jorge Barco, I recorded sounds at the Jekker and Maas rivers in Maastricht and at the Como Lake in Northern Italy. Through an open experimentation with these and with an Omniphone built by Arvid Jense —an instrument built with proximity sensors and multiple scalar options—, I created a stereo sound composition (07’31”) that invites into a meditative state of wetness.
